What Meowji stores, and where

Everything below is stored only on your iPhone, inside Meowji's own storage (its app container and an app group container shared only with Meowji's own extensions). We cannot see or access any of it.

• Audio recordings of meetings you record.
• Transcripts, summaries, decisions, action items and open questions, plus meeting titles and dates.
• Your custom vocabulary (names and terms you add in Settings to improve recognition).
• The downloaded speech model files (no personal data).

Like other app data, this data can be included in the backups of your iPhone that you make with iCloud Backup or a computer, according to your own device settings. Those backups are controlled by you and your backup provider, not by us.

How your meetings are processed

• Transcription uses a Whisper speech-recognition model that runs on your iPhone.
• Live captions (optional, while recording in person) use the on-device speech recognizer built into iOS.
• Summaries, decisions, action items and open questions use the on-device language model provided by iOS (Apple Intelligence). Meowji only uses the on-device model; it does not send your transcripts to any cloud AI service.

No recording, transcript or analysis result is ever sent to us or to any third party by Meowji.

Network connections

Meowji makes only the following connections:

1. Speech model download (Hugging Face)

The first time you transcribe a meeting, Meowji downloads the openly published Whisper speech model (about 630 MB, from the argmaxinc/whisperkit-coreml repository) from huggingface.co, operated by Hugging Face. To show download progress, it also asks Hugging Face for the list and sizes of the model files. These requests contain no recordings, transcripts or personal information. As with any web request, Hugging Face receives your IP address and standard technical request information, which Hugging Face handles under its own privacy policy. Once the model is fully downloaded, Meowji transcribes without connecting to the internet; it downloads the model again only if the files are missing or incomplete.

2. Downloads managed by iOS

iOS may download the language assets for its on-device speech recognizer (used for live captions) and the Apple Intelligence model. These downloads are performed by iOS, not by Meowji, and are covered by Apple's privacy policy.

3. When you choose to share

If you share or copy a summary or transcript, or add action items to Reminders, that content goes only where you send it. Reminders are stored by the Reminders app and may sync through your own iCloud account according to your settings.

Meowji contains no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or tracking SDKs, and does not use the advertising identifier.

Permissions

• Microphone — to record in-person meetings. The microphone is used only while you are recording.
• Speech Recognition — for optional live captions while recording, using the iOS on-device speech recognizer.
• Reminders — requested only when you export action items, so Meowji can add them as reminders. Meowji does not send your reminders anywhere.
• Screen broadcast (online meetings) — Meowji's broadcast extension runs only after you start it yourself from the iOS broadcast picker, and stops when you stop the broadcast. It saves only audio (your microphone and the audio playing on your iPhone); screen video is ignored and never saved. The audio stays on your iPhone and is transcribed when you return to Meowji.
• Live Activities — while recording, the elapsed time (and the latest live caption, if captions are on) appears on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, where people near your iPhone may see it. You can turn Live Activities off for Meowji in iOS Settings.

You can change these permissions at any time in iOS Settings.

Keeping and deleting your data

Your data stays on your iPhone until you delete it. Deleting a meeting in Meowji deletes its recordings, transcript and analysis. Deleting the app removes all of Meowji's data from your iPhone (except copies in backups you made, or content you shared or exported). Because we never receive your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.

Recording responsibly

You are responsible for how you use recordings. Please tell participants you are recording, get their consent first, and follow the recording laws that apply where you and they are.

Children

Meowji is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone — including children — because Meowji collects no personal information at all.

Meowji 儲存哪些資料、存在哪裡

以下資料只存在你的 iPhone 上，位於 Meowji 自己的儲存空間（App 容器，以及只與 Meowji 自家延伸功能共用的 App Group 容器）。我們看不到，也無法存取。

• 會議錄音檔。
• 逐字稿、摘要、決議、待辦事項與待釐清問題，以及會議標題與日期。
• 自訂詞彙表（你在設定中加入、用來提升辨識的人名與詞彙）。
• 下載的語音模型檔（不含個人資料）。

和其他 App 的資料一樣，這些資料可能依你自己的裝置設定，包含在你用 iCloud 備份或電腦製作的 iPhone 備份中。這些備份由你與你的備份服務提供者管理，不經過我們。

會議如何處理

• 轉錄：使用在 iPhone 上執行的 Whisper 語音辨識模型。
• 即時字幕（選用，實體會議錄音時）：使用 iOS 內建的裝置端語音辨識。
• 摘要、決議、待辦事項與待釐清問題：使用 iOS 提供的裝置端語言模型（Apple Intelligence）。Meowji 只使用裝置端模型，不會把逐字稿送到任何雲端 AI 服務。

Meowji 不會把任何錄音、逐字稿或分析結果傳送給我們或任何第三方。

網路連線

Meowji 只會進行以下連線：

1. 下載語音模型（Hugging Face）

第一次轉錄會議時，Meowji 會從 Hugging Face 營運的 huggingface.co 下載公開發布的 Whisper 語音模型（約 630 MB，來自 argmaxinc/whisperkit-coreml）。為了顯示下載進度，也會向 Hugging Face 查詢模型檔案清單與大小。這些請求不包含任何錄音、逐字稿或個人資訊。和所有網路請求一樣，Hugging Face 會收到你的 IP 位址與一般的技術性請求資訊，並依其隱私權政策處理。模型完整下載後，Meowji 轉錄時不再連網；只有在模型檔遺失或不完整時才會重新下載。

iOS 可能會下載裝置端語音辨識（即時字幕使用）的語言資源，以及 Apple Intelligence 模型。這些下載由 iOS 執行，不是 Meowji，適用 Apple 的隱私權政策。

3. 你主動分享時

當你分享或拷貝摘要、逐字稿，或把待辦事項加入「提醒事項」，內容只會送到你選擇的地方。提醒事項由「提醒事項」App 保存，並可能依你的設定透過你自己的 iCloud 帳號同步。

Meowji 不含任何分析、廣告、當機回報或追蹤用的 SDK，也不使用廣告識別碼。

權限說明

• 麥克風：錄下實體會議。只有在你錄音時才會使用。
• 語音辨識：錄音時的選用即時字幕，使用 iOS 裝置端語音辨識。
• 提醒事項：只有在你匯出待辦事項時才會請求，用來把待辦加入提醒事項。Meowji 不會把你的提醒事項傳到任何地方。
• 螢幕廣播（線上會議）：Meowji 的廣播延伸功能只有在你自己從 iOS 廣播選單啟動後才會執行，停止廣播即結束。它只保存聲音（你的麥克風與 iPhone 播放的聲音）；螢幕畫面會被忽略，絕不儲存。聲音留在你的 iPhone 上，回到 Meowji 後才開始轉錄。
• 即時動態（Live Activity）：錄音時，經過時間（以及開啟即時字幕時的最新字幕）會顯示在鎖定畫面與動態島，旁人可能看得到。你可以在 iOS 設定中關閉 Meowji 的即時動態。

你隨時可以在 iOS「設定」中變更這些權限。

資料保存與刪除

你的資料會留在 iPhone 上，直到你刪除為止。在 Meowji 刪除一場會議，會一併刪除它的錄音、逐字稿與分析結果。刪除 App 會移除 Meowji 在這支 iPhone 上的所有資料（你自己製作的備份、已分享或匯出的內容除外）。由於我們從未收到你的資料，我們這邊沒有任何需要刪除的資料。

負責任地錄音

錄音的使用方式由你負責。錄音前請告知與會者並先取得同意，也請遵守你與對方所在地的錄音相關法規。

兒童隱私

Meowji 並非以 13 歲以下兒童為對象。Meowji 不蒐集任何人的個人資訊，當然也包括兒童。
